About our school

At Moonbi Public School we strive for perfection in all facets of school life as we foster a school community which provides a safe, friendly and happy environment.

We value the individuality and capacity of all students to do their personal best. We welcome new families and develop shared visions for their children. Our parent community is active, enterprising and valued.

Our school focus is on literacy and numeracy. Children are provided with quality teaching strategies and a comprehensive support program. Small class sizes, a high computer-to-child ratio and a strong student welfare focus enhance learning. Our vibrant community of small schools group enables our children to interact with other students whilst developing a wide range of skills.

Staff support the Active After School Community sport initiative. Kindergarten children start school at Moonbi with confidence because of our extensive and successful Transition to School Program. Implementation of the Best Start Progam supplements this process.

Quality classrooms, a well-resourced library, a modern tennis and sports court and beautiful and spacious grounds provide children with a wonderful learning experience.

A message from the Principal

I have had the pleasure of leading Moonbi Public School since the commencement of the 2021 school year. Moonbi Public School is a wonderful school, where students can learn, explore and grow in a safe and caring environment.

Our exceptional teaching staff work in multistage classrooms, ensuring that every student receives differentiated learning experiences specific to their learning needs and interests. Our support staff are exceptional, and all staff participate in regular and robust professional learning to ensure that all of our students are receiving the highest quality education.

Our school offers a wide variety of sporting activities, with students representing the school at zone, regional and state levels.

Our students work with the latest in educational technologies, working on solving real world problems while building life long skills.

Through the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program, students develop a strong connections to the environment around them, while being exposed to new and health flavours and recipes.

Thank you,

Mel Wood
